Detached double garage with workshop / summerhouse / gym and accommodation in the roof-space following demolition of the existing garage and outbuildings
We are concerned that this substantial new structure is planned to be introduce into the Altwood Road Conservation Area. It is not clear whether this factor has been taken into account in determining the style and materials proposed for this new building, which is required to reflect and enhance the setting within a Conservation Area. The frontage of the new structure which is 9 metres will be clearly visible from the road, but there is no street-scene diagram provided to illustrate the visual impact alongside the host property. At the time of writing there does not appear to have been any consultation with or input from the Conservation Officer.
