PUTTING PEOPLE IN THE FRAME - Maidenhead & Me Art Competition 2018

Preparations are under way for our fifth Maidenhead and Me art and photography competition; and this year the focus is on people.

Maidenhead and Me aims to encourage public appreciation of the place we call home. Picking up on a remark by our patron, Rt Hon Theresa May at last year’s prize-giving, this time the organisers have chosen the theme “People make it what it is” as the challenge for our entrants.

Once again there are some very attractive prizes of up to £200, thanks to the generosity of our joint sponsors, the Louis Baylis Charitable Trust and the Nicholsons Centre. The closing date is the weekend of October 13th and there’ll be an exhibition of all the entries from October 20th.

“We’ve extended the deadline this year in the hope of attracting more entries from the talented teenagers who we know are out there,” said Society chairman Bob Dulson. “Please help us to spread the word.”

The competition has three age categories, adults, teenagers and juniors, and full details of how to enter are contained in the entry form, which can be downloaded here:
